Parsley is such an powerful medicinal herb that can grow easily in your backyard!
The weather has been cold, super windy and we even had several rains storms. It’s such a delight to see our beautiful parsley plant still growing and thriving through it all. That says a lot about this resilient herb.
Parsley is not only a great tasting herb, it is full of medicinal and healing properties. Eating healthy food can help us improve our health, but eating medicinal foods takes our health to a whole new level. Medicinal foods like parsley, cilantro, ginger, turmeric, garlic, onions, spirulina, barley grass, cranberries, pomegranate, and wild blueberries, can cleanse and heal our organs, restoring our bodies and bringing us back to homeostasis.
Parsley balances our pH, reducing acidity and inflammation in the body. It detoxes harmful pathogens and heavy metals from the liver, kidneys, gallbladder, pancreas, brain, lymphatic system, and blood stream. It heals the gut, helping it to excrete excess mucus, viruses, bacteria, fungus and yeast. When our bodies and organs are cleaner, we are able to reverse chronic health issues, reduce pain, sleep better, feel happier, and have more energy.
At our home, we eat or drink parsley almost everyday! I love going out there and picking parsley for our juices, smoothies and as a garnish for salads and dinners. We also keep them in a glass jar in the kitchen windowsill where they get more sunshine.
