“Our levels of success will rarely exceed our level of personal development, because success is something we attract by who we become.”
– Jim Rohn

Happy New Year Friends!

I hope this message finds you doing well and staying heathy. What a crazy time we are in with all the stress and uncertainty. My intention is to start sharing tips and ideas that can help boost your motivation, improve your health and happiness.

You may know this about me – I’m an avid learner who is always looking for ways to grow physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Once in a while, I stumble upon a great book or documentary that is considered “a game changer.” Recently, a friend told me about a documentary called “The Miracle Morning.” I am so grateful for this, because this movie and book is so inspiring and life changing!

The founder of “The Miracle Morning,” Hal Elrod, went through several major obstacles in life, including a near death experience, that helped him realized his gifts as a motivational speaker and influencer. He found that the most successful people in the world have something in common: they all have a morning ritual/routine that they adhere to every single day.

He came up with these habits as the most impactful for success and happiness:

“SAVERS”
S – Silence (meditation)
A – Affirmations
V – Visulization
E – Exercise
R – Reading
S – Scribing (journaling)

Hal shares that when these are done first thing in the morning, you are more likely to have a productive and fulfilling day. The good news is that all of these six habits can be done within one hour. He recommends getting into the routine of going bed early and rising as early as 5AM! That’s early, I don’t think I can do that yet!

I suggest you doing your best and transitioning as you go. Maybe going to bed a half hour before your usual bed time and waking up a half hour earlier. Also important is to have a pleasant night time routine like turning off all screens one hour before going to bed, taking a relaxing bath, stretching, or meditating, etc.

Positive habits and rituals work in our favor, because they help us cultivate more harmony within. When we do something good every day over time (at least 21 days), we start to retrain our bodies and minds, and shift into new belief systems. This can help us let go of old beliefs and habits that no longer serve us.

I’ve been trying “The Miracle Morning” routine, and so far, it has been incredible for my body, mind and spirit! When we fill up our cup, our gifts and love will overflow and have a positive impact on those around us. Self-care is not an option, it is a necessity in order to be our highest selves and create the meaningful life we are meant to live.

Beyond the chaos out there, you have the power and choice to make your inner world and your home peaceful, safe, and sound. I’m cheering you on!

With Love,
Dana
