We are so bless to be getting some good rain this week. I went out this morning for a walk at our nearby Dry Creek trail and found the land and surrounding to be so lush and beautiful. It seemed to have transformed overnight, thanks to the rain!

Just being in nature, my spirit was immediately lifted and I felt cleansed from the inside out. It was easy, enjoyable, and helped me to feel more grounded for the rest of my day!

Have you been connecting with nature lately? If not, I encourage you to get out there and be with nature! It is truly magical and the best healing medicine on earth. Walking in nature has so many amazing benefits – you’ll feel happier, more grounded, energized, relaxed, have better sleep, improve your blood circulation and lymphatic flow, and the list goes on. Best of all, your body, mind and spirit will realign and you will feel a deeper sense of peace and joy. And as a bonus, you’ll get exercise to help you get in shape! It’s one of the best remedies for better health and well-being.

Some of us can walk longer distances and some just can’t, due to health restrictions. That’s totally fine, even if you can get out for 10-15 minutes, a few times a week, that’s plenty to get you on your way! I personally only walk for 20-30 minutes at a time, and feel that’s all I need. Choose a time and place that works for you and put it in your schedule to ensure it will happen.  There are plenty of nearby parks, trails, beaches, or even walking around your neighborhood can be wonderful. Walk alone or with a friend, either way it will be nourishing. Enjoy!
